I’m Olivia; a designer creatively and personally influenced by values of slow consumption and responsible practices. The way I approach design comes from a place of mindfulness; for the planet and for the lives of future generations.

What drives me creatively is the feeling of losing yourself in the process; when you simply can't think or do anything else in this moment. I most enjoy processes which are completely out of my control. Something exciting will appear out of a drop of ink or the mottled surface of a yarn, and I allow that to develop naturally into fabric.

It’s easy to forget where you envisioned yourself in the future. The reasons for choosing to study a craft can get lost in the preoccupation with a project; down to the exact colour of a single line. But a younger version of me, pouring all my time into art without question, saw an image of herself in the future. Losing time creating, in the setting daylight of a studio. I’m living that vision now, and I hope I can continue to do so with other passionate makers.
